Open ChatGPT setup Manual setup is needed until a public Podcasty listing is available.
  1. In ChatGPT, enable Developer mode in Settings → Security and login. Open Plugins → +, create a connection named Podcasty, enter the server URL below, and choose OAuth.
  2. Sign in with the email that receives your Podcasty digest, enter the emailed code, and approve the requested permissions. Continue in the client that started sign-in.
  3. In ChatGPT, start a conversation and enable Podcasty from the tools or connectors menu if prompted. Ask it to list your saved digests.

This is a public server address. Access still requires your approval.

Try asking

“From my latest saved digest, pick one episode relevant to my current work. Explain why and cite the passages.”

“Use Podcasty to get the transcript of this YouTube video and summarize its main ideas: [video link].”

Video requests need your permission and allow ten new transcripts per day, kept for up to seven days. Your AI can use the context available in your conversation. You can still download or copy transcripts if connecting is unavailable.

Manage connections
  1. Choose your AI. Follow its connection instructions and add the Podcasty server.
  2. Use your digest email. Verify the address that receives your Podcasty digest and approve the permissions you want to grant.
  3. Ask about your library. Try: “Pick one episode from my latest digest and explain why it is worth my time.”

You need an existing Podcasty digest. You can also request transcripts for public or unlisted YouTube links outside your digest, with your permission. Your subscriptions stay unchanged. Custom connector availability depends on your AI plan and workspace settings.
